Stephen Mottram (Grande-Bretagne) est à la fois artiste, constructeur et marionnettiste. En 1980 il rejoint une compagnie anglaise de marionnettes traditionnelles et obtient une bourse de l'Art Council qui lui permet d'étudier le mime et le mouvement à l'Ecole nationale de marionnette à Budapest (Hongrie). Depuis 1988, il produit et réalise ses propres créations. Il a présenté son solo In suspension dans le monde entier avec l'aide du British Council. The Seed Carriers, a tourné dans plus de 18 pays et gagné trois récompenses internationales. The Seas of Organillo est sa dernière création. Il a également travaillé sur de nombreux films : The little shop of horrors (1986), Tales from the Decameron (1987), Strings (Le fil de la vie -2004).

Summary :
Stephen Mottram (UK) is an artist, a constructor of puppets and a puppeteer. In 1980 he joined an English company who performed with traditional puppets, and obtained a grant from the Arts Council which paid for formal training in mime and movement at the Hungarian State Puppet Theatre School in Budapest. Since 1988 he has produced and performed his own work. Stephen Mottram has travelled the world with his solo marionette show In Suspension, with the support of the British Council. The Seed Carriers toured in over 18 countries and won three international awards. The Seas of Organillo is his latest creation. He has also worked on a number of films including The Little Shop of Horrors (1986) Tales from the Decameron (1987) and Strings (2004).
